The Manhattan New York Temple is known as a multipurpose temple, the second one of its kind built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to having two ordinance rooms, two sealing rooms and a baptistery, the building also houses a distribution center, office space for the Public Affairs Department of The Church, and a meeting house.

The temple is located west of Central Park, kiddie-corner to the Lincoln Center, surrounded by skyscrapers. It is a great example of how, in the middle of a city that never sleeps, there is a place where people can find the peace and understanding the House of the Lord has to offer.
