The Monticello Utah Temple is the 53rd operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was the first of a new generation of temples conceived by President Gordon B. Hinckley. This temple was originally dedicated by President Hinckley in July 1998, but was later rededicated by him following an expansion project to add another ordinance room, among other additions.
