Just across the street, due west of the Manti Utah Temple is a park with a strategically placed reflecting pool. Standing in the right spot you can see the temple on the hill reflecting in the water, much like the reflecting pool just east of the Salt Lake Temple on Temple Square.
The Manti Utah Temple is the 3rd operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is the only temple dedicated by President Lorenzo Snow. It was dedicated in May 1888 and was rededicated in June 1985 by President Gordon B. Hinckley.
The grounds south of the Manti Utah Temple play host to the Mormon Miracle Pageant – a large production that tells the stories of the Book of Mormon and the boy who was led to find the Gold Plates in the mountains of upstate New York. It is a wonderful production.
